Riakeo Tokyo – 96 Shot Garden Firework Battery (RK-96-2556)
Riakeo Tokyo (RK-96-2556) – Graham’s Review
This one’s got a sense of timing about it that I rather like. Starts off with a proper bang – white strobe mines crack off at ground level, sending red tails up that finish in titanium salutes, the kind of bang that carries down the street and back. Gets your attention, no question.
Then it completely changes character. Ti-gold coconut tails climb up steadily and break into enormous golden willow canopies dressed in sky blue, purple, orange, teal, pink and lemon peony – six colours, properly soft and graceful after that opening salvo. Seventy seconds total, and the shift from “loud” to “lovely” is the best bit, in my opinion.
Quick rundown
- 96 shots, 30mm tubes
- 70-second display
- White strobe mines, titanium salutes
- Golden willow in six colours: sky blue, purple, orange, teal, pink, lemon
- F2, 1.3G, 1.9kg NEC
Good for New Year’s countdown if you want a bang right at midnight followed by something a bit more graceful for the minutes after.
25 metres back, and mind your ears for that opening bit.
