Riakeo Peking Opera 10 – 96 Shot Garden Firework Battery (RK-96-2552)
Riakeo Peking Opera 10 (RK-96-2552) – Graham Weighs In
I’ve seen a fair few “Peking Opera” fireworks come through over the decades – Riakeo seem fond of the name – but this one, the tenth in the series apparently, is the strongest version I’ve come across.
Ninety-six shots, sixty-five seconds, and it runs through everything: golden brocade crowns unfurling overhead, chrysanthemum mines going off at ground level before blooming up into golden flowers, dahlia bursts switching colour every few seconds, and a willow finish that drapes the whole thing in warm gold light. Strobes pop in throughout to keep your attention from wandering, not that it’s likely to with this much going on.
What you’re buying
- 96 shots, 30mm tubes
- 65 seconds of continuous variety
- Brocade crowns, chrysanthemum mines, dahlia bursts, golden willow
- F2, 1.3G, just shy of 2kg of powder
This is your big garden centrepiece. The one you build the rest of the evening around. I wouldn’t put anything else on at the same time – let it have the stage to itself.
25 metres minimum, and don’t crowd it – give it room to do its thing.
